Jammu, Feb 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly witnessed uproarious scenes on Tuesday after MLA Khursheed rose to draw the Chair’s attention to certain remarks made by MLA Randhawa.

Khursheed was supported by MLA Irfan Hafeez Lone along with legislators of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference and several other members, resulting in heated exchanges inside the House.

During the ruckus, one of the MLAs waved a placard reading “Khasra No. 211,” apparently targeting Randhawa, who had earlier been served a show-cause notice by the Jammu Development Authority over alleged encroachment of land under Khasra No. 211 in Chak Ganeshu village of Mandal tehsil, Jammu.

The development led to protests and counter-slogans, disrupting the proceedings for some time. (Agencies)
