Under this collaboration, Kashmir Clinics Central, Karanagar, will serve as the official satellite campus of Ujala Cygnus Hospital, providing advanced medical facilities, expert consultations, and diagnostic services to residents of downtown Srinagar and surrounding areas.

Speaking at a joint press conference, Dr. Parvez Sofi, Managing Director of Ujala Cygnus Kashmir; Dr. Shakeel, Chairman of Kashmir Clinics Central, Karanagar; and Dr. Aubeed, Regional Director of J&K emphasized that the partnership reflects their shared commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality, and affordable healthcare to the people of Kashmir.

Dr. Parvez Sofi highlighted that there are approximately 30,000 cancer cases in the Valley, posing serious public health challenges. He said, “With this collaboration, complete and sustainable treatment facilities will now be available in Jammu & Kashmir. Ujala Hospital also offers the ESI scheme. Today, our vision is becoming a reality as specialized doctors for all major diseases will be available at Kashmir Clinics Central, working under the supervision of Ujala Hospital. Ayushman Bharat and other government and insurance schemes will also be accessible here, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the Valley for treatment.”

Dr. Shakeel acknowledged the support of Ujala Hospital’s administration, stating that it provided confidence and facilitation throughout the process. He noted that this initiative will benefit not only residents of central Srinagar but also people from other parts of the Valley, ensuring that all facilities of Ujala Hospital in Nowgam are now accessible in Karan Nagar.
Dr. Ubaid described the partnership as a strong beginning, adding, “We aim to deliver treatment facilities directly to patients. Within the next year, advanced cancer treatment and equipment will be available in the Valley, along with kidney, liver, and bone transplants, so that patients no longer need to travel outside for medical care.”

The partnership is designed to bridge the gap between high-quality healthcare and local needs. The satellite campus will also provide ESI Family Cards, Golden Cards, and Privilege Cards, allowing patients easy access to cashless treatment and government health facilities.

The inauguration was attended by leading medical professionals, community representatives, and other dignitaries, highlighting the Valley’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services. This collaboration is expected to make modern, high-quality healthcare more accessible, efficient, and affordable for residents of downtown Srinagar.
