Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma commends the central government’s strong measures in restoring peace and eliminating terrorism.
Jammu, Mar 22: Leader of the Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, Sunil Sharma, lauded the central government’s decisive actions against terrorism, stating that peace has been restored in the region and people no longer live in fear.
“This sense of security is being felt across Jammu and Kashmir and the entire country. The measures taken against terrorism, especially after the abrogation of Article 370, have dismantled the terror infrastructure, preventing local recruitment. Stone-pelting on the streets has stopped, and tourists can move freely. There is peace, and no one lives in fear anymore. The situation will only improve further with time,” Sharma remarked.
His statement follows Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent assertion that the BJP-led government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has upheld a zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism since coming to power in 2014. (Agencies)
