Jammu/Kishtwar, April 23:
A fire incident that broke out at a residential house in Kumhar Mohalla, Nowpachi, on Wednesday, reportedly due to a short circuit in a solar panel system suffered massive damages to the house as well as other house hold items.
The house according to police report belongs to Abdul Rashid, son of Abdul Samad Kumhar, and Gh. Qadir, son of Abdul Rehman Kumhar. According to initial reports, the blaze caused significant damage to the structure and household belongings.
However, timely intervention by local residents, personnel of the Indian Army, and team Police Station Marwah led by SHO Lal Hussain ensured that the fire was brought under control before it could spread further.
No loss of life or injuries have been reported in the incident.
Authorities have taken note of the incident, and further assessment of damages is underway.
