Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has officially begun shooting for his upcoming film Battle of Galwan in the picturesque landscapes of Ladakh. A photograph of Salman Khan on set has gone viral on social media, with director Apoorva Lakhia confirming the start of production in recent updates. The filmmaker described the project as “a heartfelt tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers.”

The film is based on the June 15, 2020, clash in the Galwan Valley, where Indian troops led by Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu confronted Chinese forces in eastern Ladakh. In Battle of Galwan, Salman Khan portrays Colonel Santosh Babu, who was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra, India’s second-highest wartime gallantry award.
