Police on Monday recovered an old, rusted hand grenade from a garbage dump in Iqbal Colony, Safakadal area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar.
A senior police officer said, “The grenade was found in a heap of garbage at Iqbal Colony.”
The officer added that, prima facie, it appears to be an old, rusted grenade which has been taken into possession for further examination.
He said that cognizance of the matter has been taken and further investigation has been initiated. (Agencies)
