Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited LNJP Hospital and met the survivors of the Red Fort blast, assuring that those responsible for the attack will be brought to justice.
“Went to LNJP Hospital and met those injured during the blast in Delhi. Praying for everyone’s quick recovery. Those behind the conspiracy will be brought to justice!” Modi posted on X.
Officials said the prime minister went directly to the hospital upon returning from Bhutan to meet the injured victims. Heavy security was deployed in and around the hospital during his visit.
Modi interacted with the injured, enquired about their condition, and wished them a speedy recovery. He was also briefed by doctors and senior officials about their treatment and overall progress.
A powerful explosion had ripped through a slow-moving vehicle near the Red Fort traffic signal on Monday, killing 12 people and injuring several others.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also visited LNJP Hospital earlier on Monday to meet the survivors.
