SSP assures complete confidentiality to encourage public cooperation in reporting drugs and crime

Anantnag, April 8 (KNS): On his first day in Anantnag after being posted from Udhampur, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amod Ashok Nagpure addressed the media and outlined his priorities for the district, with a strong focus on public cooperation and action against drug abuse.

The SSP said that strengthening the fight against drugs will be a key priority. He noted that drug abuse is impacting the community and urged people to support the police in making Anantnag a drug-free district.

“I appeal to the people of Anantnag to support us in the fight against drugs. This will be our main priority,” he said, as per KNS.

He also announced that the SSP office will remain open to the public on all working days without the need for prior appointments. Citizens can visit the office with complaints, grievances, or suggestions and meet senior officers directly.

“There will be no visiting hours or appointments. Any person can come to the office on any working day and meet me or other officers,” he said.

The SSP shared his contact number, 7051-000-999, stating it will remain available round the clock for the public. People can call or send messages, including via WhatsApp, to report complaints, emergencies, or share information related to crime, drugs, or terrorism.

“My personal number is available 24 hours. People can share information, and I assure that their identity will be kept confidential,” he said.

He urged citizens to come forward with information and assured them of complete confidentiality. The SSP expressed hope that with collective efforts, the district will move towards stability and order. (Agency)
