POONCH, MAY 10: The District Administration Poonch, in collaboration with the District Youth Services & Sports Department, Education Department and Social Welfare Department, on Saturday organised a grand awareness rally to mark World Red Cross Day under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Around 1,500 students from 12 schools participated in the rally, carrying awareness placards and raising slogans promoting humanity, social service, peace, unity and a drug-free society.
The rally was aimed at spreading awareness about the significance of the Red Cross movement, humanitarian values and the collective responsibility of society in building a healthy and drug-free nation. Participants marched through various main town areas, showcasing the strong commitment of youth towards social awareness and nation-building initiatives.
Officials from the district administration, District Youth Services & Sports Department, Education Department and Social Welfare Department also joined the students and staff members during the rally. They highlighted the importance of such awareness programmes in guiding young people towards positive and constructive activities under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
