Police Station Miran Sahib cracks attempt to murder case; two accused arrested, weapon recovered

Jammu | October 7, 2025: In a major breakthrough against violent crime, Police Station Miran Sahib, Jammu, has solved a sensational attempt to murder case within days, arresting two accused and recovering the weapons used in the attack.

The case was registered under FIR No. 50/2025 for offences under Sections 109/333/3(5) BNS and 3/4/25 Arms Act.

 

According to the complaint, on April 10, 2025, accused persons Jagandeep Singh alias Rubal, son of Gurdeep Singh, resident of Dinday Kalan, and his associate Vinod Kumar alias Duggar, son of Jagdesh Lal, resident of Nihalpur Simbal, followed the complainant on a motorcycle at Dinday Kalan and brutally assaulted him with an intent to kill. The accused even opened fire, creating panic in the area.

 

Acting swiftly, SHO Miran Sahib, Inspector Azad Manhas, under the close supervision of SDPO R S Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu, launched an intensive investigation. By meticulously analyzing technical and human intelligence, the police team successfully apprehended both accused persons.

 

During sustained questioning, the duo confessed to their involvement in the attack.

On their disclosure, police recovered one Desi Katta (country-made pistol) and one Toka (sharp-edged weapon) used in the commission of the crime.

 

The timely recovery of the weapon of offence has further strengthened the case, showcasing the professionalism and efficiency of Jammu Police.

 

Further investigation is in progress to ascertain the motive and possible involvement of others.
