New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for greater participation of young people in public service, particularly those who are not traditionally attracted to electoral politics or public office.
Addressing the importance of youth participation in governance, PM Modi said there is a need to create opportunities for talented young people to contribute to public life without necessarily pursuing elected positions.
He emphasised that public service extends beyond holding political office and that young citizens with diverse skills, ideas and professional experience can make valuable contributions to governance and nation-building.
The Prime Minister’s remarks highlighted the importance of encouraging a new generation to engage with public institutions and contribute to addressing social and developmental challenges.
The call comes amid wider discussions about increasing youth participation in public life and creating avenues through which young professionals, innovators and community workers can contribute to the country’s development without necessarily entering electoral politics.
