Jammu/New Delhi, March 9, 2026: Members of Parliament Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan and Shammi Oberoi met His Excellency Mohammad Fathali, Ambassador of the Iran to India, in New Delhi to convey their heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives following the recent attack on Iran and the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
The delegation, comprising the three Rajya Sabha Members of Parliament, met the Ambassador on the directions of National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
During the meeting, the leaders strongly condemned the alleged barbaric attack reportedly carried out jointly by the United States and Israel on Iran, which reportedly resulted in the loss of innocent lives and the martyrdom of the spiritual and Supreme Leader of Iran.
The delegation expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the people of Iran during this difficult time and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
They prayed that Almighty Allah grant the departed souls the highest place in Jannatul Firdous and give strength to the families to bear this irreparable loss.
