Jammu, Oct 20: Militancy will be eradicated from the soil of Jammu and Kashmir at all costs was stated by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha while addressing a function to pay tributes to Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishan Bhat and two labourers from Uttar Pradesh namely Monish Kumar and Ram Sagar who were killed by militants in Shopian district of south Kashmir a few days ago.
Those who want to sabotage peace process and kill innocent people in Jammu and Kashmir will be dealt with iron hand and a stern action will be taken against the masterminds and their perpetrators definitely, the LG said, adding I extend my sympathies with the families who lost their loved ones to the bullets of militants.
“Justice to whom”, while addressing the function, LG Manoj Sinha asked to whom we have to provide justice?Taking a dig indirectly at Dr Farooq’s recent statement in which he had stated that ‘killings won’t stop until justice is served’, LG Manoj Sinha questioned him, justice to whom.
LG gave reference of a dreaded militant of Taliban faction who was known for killing people ruthlessly. He even did not spared the mourners who assembled at anybody’s funeral. Somebody asked the Taliban militant why you recklessly kill people and the reply he honestly gave to question was that he cannot provide even basic amenities to the people, he only can provide sense of security to them for which he is supposed to create uncertainty and insecurity among people to make sure that only Taliban can provide security to them, the LG explained.
“I know some innocent killings have taken place in recent past but I want to assure that no stone will be left unturned to eradicate the militancy from the soil of Jammu and Kashmir”, the LG said, adding those who raise questions that after repealing Article 370 why did not militancy ended should remember that they have ruled this provinces for a long and ink will fall short to rub their faces if I repeat the data of massacres which have taken place in their regime includes, 26 Kashmiri Pandits were killed at Wandhama in Ganderbal district, 26 innocent people in Prankot area of district Udhampur, 35 Sikhs in Chitthisingh Pora, 25 at Chhapnari in district Doda and 32 during Amarnath yatra which includes 7 people from Muslim community, 17people in Littar, and many more. It is true that some people have lost their lives. People have expectations with us because there is a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi in the country whom the India and world impose immense trust upon us but those who created eco- system in business establishments or power corridors their grip will be broken like anything, the LG warned. I have been repeating the Mantra of my goverenance that do not touch any innocent and do not leave accused untouched. I am satisfied that for the last two and a half years no innocent person has been killed at the hands of security personnel and if it is noticed so, immediately the action will be taken, he added.
The administration and security forces are giving a befitting reply to militants and their perpetrators and their will be no let up untill total peace is prevailed in Jammu and Kashmir.
