Jammu:New Delhi Feb 3: Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and BJP Co In-Charge for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, Sunil Sharma, on Monday held a series of important meetings in New Delhi, focusing on strengthening party organization, enhancing public outreach in Jammu and Kashmir, and reviewing election preparedness in Assam.

In his first engagement, Sunil Sharma met BJP National President Shri Nitin Nabin Ji at his New Delhi residence. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on organizational strategies aimed at further consolidating the Bharatiya Janata Party in Jammu and Kashmir. Sharma apprised the party president of ground-level developments in the Union Territory and emphasized the need for innovative initiatives to ensure that development reaches every corner of J&K.

The leaders also deliberated on strengthening grassroots connect, improving public engagement, and accelerating development-oriented programmes to better serve the people with dedication and commitment.

Sources said that Sunil Sharma also briefed the party leadership about BJP’s preparedness to strongly counter the Omar Abdullah-led government during the upcoming Budget Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. The BJP, as the principal opposition, is gearing up to raise key public issues, demand accountability on governance and development fronts, and ensure that the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir are forcefully articulated on the floor of the House.

Later, in his capacity as BJP Co In-Charge for the upcoming Assam elections, Sunil Sharma held a productive meeting with the Election Management Committee of Assam in New Delhi under the leadership of BJP National President Shri Nitin Nabin Ji. The discussions centered on strategic planning for the forthcoming polls, assessing organizational preparedness, and aligning party cadres with the BJP’s broader vision and objectives in the state.

The meeting focused on refining campaign strategies, strengthening coordination among party units, and ensuring effective election management in Assam. Sunil Sharma described the interaction as constructive, noting that such deliberations are vital for streamlining the party’s electoral machinery and adopting best practices on the ground.
