During his visit, Sunil Sharma held a series of high-level meetings with BJP district in-charges and co-incharges at the party office in Guwahati to review organisational preparedness, booth-level management, coordination mechanisms and election strategies. The meetings focused on strengthening the party’s grassroots network, assessing feedback from districts and aligning campaign plans with the central leadership’s vision.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also attended an important meeting during which key political and developmental issues related to Assam were discussed. The deliberations centred on governance achievements, public outreach initiatives and strategic planning aimed at consolidating public support for the BJP to secure a third term in office.

Sharing details of the meeting on social media platform Facebook, Sunil Sharma wrote, “Engaged in a productive meeting with district in-charges and co-incharges of BJP Assam at the party office in Guwahati. Reviewed organisational preparedness and strategies for the upcoming elections.”

Sources within the party said that the discussions also covered election management, coordination between the state unit and central observers, voter engagement programmes and effective communication of the government’s development agenda. Emphasis was laid on energising party cadres, ensuring disciplined campaign execution and countering opposition narratives on the ground.

Sunil Sharma’s visit is being viewed as significant, as senior leaders from outside the state are playing an active role in monitoring preparations and providing strategic inputs ahead of the polls. His interactions with party functionaries reflected the BJP’s focus on micro-level planning and strong organisational cohesion in Assam.

The BJP leadership has already stepped up political activity across Assam, with frequent meetings, outreach programmes and reviews at various levels, indicating that the party has entered full election mode well ahead of the polls. With the Chief Minister personally leading the campaign and senior leaders overseeing preparations, the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to repeat its electoral success in the state.
