SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha felicitated meritorious students at an event organised by Wadies Hindi Shiksha Samiti in collaboration with the J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, highlighting the important role of the younger generation in preserving India’s rich traditions of knowledge, language and culture.
Addressing the gathering, the LG congratulated the students for their achievements and encouraged young people to actively contribute to the preservation and promotion of India’s diverse cultural and literary heritage.
The event also highlighted efforts to promote Hindi and other regional languages in Jammu and Kashmir. The Wadies Hindi Shiksha Samiti had conducted activities in Kendriya Vidyalayas to generate greater interest in Hindi among students.
Sinha also stressed the importance of empowering youth, particularly those living in border areas, by providing them with opportunities for education, skills and participation in nation-building.
The J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages and Wadies Hindi Shiksha Samiti have been involved in initiatives aimed at promoting the region’s linguistic, literary and cultural heritage.
