JAMMU, Jan 18: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today urged the youth of Jammu & Kashmir to dream big, aim high, and pursue their goals with courage and unwavering determination.

“Your future is waiting for you. Take a pledge to build a brighter J&K and work with dedication. History remembers those who dared to challenge limits, conquered fear, and turned the impossible into reality,” Sinha said while addressing the youth at the 7th Annual Day Celebration of the Guidance & Career Counselling Cell for Youth Development (GCC) at Gurha Slathia in Samba.

The Lieutenant Governor called upon young people to be architects of social change and contribute to the vision of a “Viksit Bharat.”

“History shows that people who changed the world relied not on extraordinary circumstances but on extraordinary thinking. Youth are not just the hope of tomorrow; they are the greatest power of today. Young people of J&K should dream big for the Union Territory and the nation. When dreams soar high, paths for a developed society must be carved through hard work, patience, and courage,” he added.

He emphasized that innovation and entrepreneurship are crucial for societal progress, urging the youth to embrace fresh ideas, solve problems, and create opportunities for self-employment as drivers of economic empowerment.

Reiterating the government’s commitment, the Lieutenant Governor assured complete rehabilitation for families affected by recent natural calamities. “The damaged railway bridges will be restored within three months, while restoration work on flood-hit stretches of National Highways will be completed within the next four months,” Sinha said.

Addressing local development concerns, the Lieutenant Governor assured that the construction of a railway over-bridge in Samba, proposed by the MLA, would be taken up with Railway officials for early action. He also suggested development of a local pond with support from youth and social organizations.

Sinha expressed gratitude to Radha Soami Satsang Beas and High-range Rural Development Society (HRDS India) for their selfless service and commended the Guidance & Career Counselling Cell for Youth Development for their efforts toward youth empowerment.
