SRINAGAR, MAY 11: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday released a Special Cover, a commemorative postal envelope issued by the Department of Posts, marking the historic victory of the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team in the Ranji Trophy 2025–26 season.
The commemorative release celebrates the team’s landmark achievement and recognises their exceptional performance in one of India’s premier domestic cricket tournaments.
On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor interacted with the winning squad and support staff, congratulating them for their outstanding performance. He described the victory as a reflection of a growing sporting culture in the Union Territory and a source of pride for the entire region.
The event was attended by Chief Postmaster General J&K Circle Sagar Hanuman Singh, Brigadier Anil Gupta (Retd.), Member BCCI Sub Committee JKCA, office bearers of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), and senior officials from the Postal Department.
Officials said the special postal cover has been issued to commemorate the team’s achievement and to inspire young athletes across Jammu and Kashmir.
