Being a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India’s Parliament, is a significant responsibility as it allows leaders to represent the interests of their state at the national level, participate in shaping legislation, and contribute to policy debates that impact the entire country. Kichloo’s nomination marks a key moment for Kishtwar, giving the region a stronger voice in national governance.
Meanwhile, NC supporters in Kishtwar celebrated Kichloo’s nomination at the Party Office, with youth activists bursting firecrackers to mark the historic occasion. Kichloo will become the third politician from Kishtwar to represent the district in the Rajya Sabha after former Union Home Minister Om Mehta and Krishna Mehta. Senior party leaders also took the opportunity to thank the party leadership for their vision and guidance.
Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo, Party District President Kishtwar and brother of Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, addressed the gathering, urging party workers to work for the welfare of the people by reaching out to the underprivileged and listening to their concerns.
