Jammu, Jan 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved the renaming of Kathua Railway Station in honour of Martyr Captain Sunil Kumar Choudhary, recognising his supreme sacrifice for the nation.
According to Government Order No. 129-JK (GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department, Kathua (कठुआ) Railway Station will now officially be known as “Martyr Captain Sunil Kumar Choudhary Kathua Railway Station” (शहीद कप्तान सुनील कुमार चौधरी कठुआ रेलवे स्टेशन).
The order, dated January 29, 2026, was issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju, IAS, by direction of the Lieutenant Governor.
