Doda Police has released posters of two wanted terrorists affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), who are believed to be active in Doda and Kishtwar districts, where Operation Trashi–1 has been underway since January 18, 2026.
The posters, pasted at prominent public places, display photographs and physical descriptions of the suspects. According to police, the terrorists are aged between 25 and 35 years, approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, and of medium build. One suspect is described as having a black moustache and wearing a black cap, while the other has a thick black beard and is also seen wearing a black cap.

Police have appealed to the public to share any credible information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspects. The contact numbers mentioned in the notice include:

Authorities have announced a cash reward ranging from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh for information leading to the arrest or elimination of the terrorists. In addition, the government has offered a job to anyone whose actionable input leads to their capture or neutralisation. Police have assured that the identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
Over the past two years, the Jammu Division has witnessed a series of encounters and anti-terror operations across districts including Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur and Reasi. Several infiltrators and active militants were neutralised during coordinated operations by police and security forces, while arms, ammunition and explosive materials were recovered. Security agencies have intensified surveillance along forest belts and mountainous terrains, particularly in Chenab Valley districts, amid attempts by terror groups to revive activities in the region.
As part of Operation Trashi–1, search and combing operations are ongoing in vulnerable areas of Doda and Kishtwar districts. Senior officials have reiterated their commitment to dismantling terror networks and maintaining peace in the Jammu region.
