Manga artist-turned-prophet Ryo Tatsuki, known for her chillingly accurate forecasts such as the Kobe earthquake and the 2011 tsunami, has now predicted a devastating ocean catastrophe set to strike this July.

A Japanese woman known for her uncanny predictions has once again drawn global attention with a chilling new warning: a massive tsunami she believes will strike in July 2025. Ryo Tatsuki, widely referred to as Japan’s “Baba Vanga,” claims she saw the catastrophic event in a vivid dream — continuing a decades-long series of premonitions she’s recorded since the 1980s.

Initially gaining fame as a manga artist, Tatsuki became more widely known for her dream-based predictions, many of which appear to have mirrored real-world disasters. In 1999, she published a manga titled The Future I Saw, chronicling her visions. The book has seen a resurgence in popularity online as readers draw parallels between her past predictions and historical events.

Her latest vision, she says, showed the ocean “boiling” south of Japan — a metaphor she links to a possible undersea volcanic eruption capable of triggering a mega tsunami. The impact zone, according to her dream, formed a diamond-like shape covering Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands. She also described seeing dragon-like forms approaching the region — symbols some interpret as signals linked to seismic patterns near Hawaii and other coastal zones.

Tatsuki had previously predicted the 1995 Kobe earthquake and the devastating 2011 tsunami in Japan, adding weight for many to her latest warning.
