Continuing its sustained crackdown on drug trafficking, Jammu (Rural) Police arrested one individual during routine patrolling in the Pallanwala area and recovered a large quantity of intoxicating capsules from his possession.
A police team from Police Post Pallanwala headed by while on patrol duty, intercepted a suspicious person.Upon search, the individual was identified as Munish Kumar Sharma, son of Late Sh. Gopal Dass, resident of Kallah, Tehsil Kharah Balli, Jammu. During checking, police recovered two strips of Pregabalin Capsules IP 300 mg (Pregra-300) containing 19 capsules along with 3,032 green-coloured intoxicating capsules, found loose and without original packaging.
In this connection, FIR No. 15/2026 under Sections 8, 21 and 22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Khour. The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and intended distribution network of the seized contraband.
Jammu (Rural) Police reiterated its firm commitment to combating the drug menace and appealed to the public to cooperate by sharing timely information to help eliminate drug trafficking from society.
