Jammu (Rural) Police continued its drive against drug trafficking and achieved another success by apprehending a drug peddler during routine patrolling.
On 15.03.2026, a police team from BPP Gajansoo of Police Station Kanachak, while conducting routine patrolling near the Ring Road service lane adjoining Gajansoo, apprehended one person identified as Abhi Kumar, son of Madan Lal, resident of Ghou Manhassan.
During his personal search, approximately 4.54 grams of a heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 39/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachak, and further investigation is underway.
Jammu (Rural) Police remains committed to its sustained drive against the drug menace in the district.
