“This Math has been a foundation for upholding values, and it will continue to energise future generations. One of its hallmarks is the spirit of service that has supported every segment of society for centuries,” PM Modi said.

He recalled how the monastery became a refuge and support system for communities during times of adversity.
“It protected not only religion but also humanity and culture. Over time, the Math’s service has expanded — from education to hostels, from elderly care to assistance for needy families — always dedicated to public welfare,” he added.

PM Modi said India is experiencing a pivotal moment in its history, driven by the energy of youth and a renewed connection to cultural roots.

“The energy of our youth, our growing self-confidence, and our renewed cultural connection are shaping a new India. Our vision of a developed, Viksit Bharat will be realised when spirituality, national service, and development progress together,” he said, adding that Goa and the Math are making significant contributions toward this national goal.

He highlighted ongoing transformations across the country as symbols of a cultural resurgence.
“The construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the grand revival of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and the expansion of Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain — all exemplify India’s renewed spiritual awakening,” the Prime Minister said.

PM Modi also inaugurated the ‘Ramayana Theme Park Garden’ developed by the Math and released a special postal stamp and commemorative coin on the occasion.

Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math is the first Gowd Saraswat Brahmin Vaishnava Math. It follows the Dvaita tradition established by Jagadguru Madhvacharya in the 13th century and is headquartered in Partagali, South Goa, on the banks of the Kushavati river.
