India and Canada have agreed to deepen cooperation against transnational organised crime, terrorism, violent extremism, trafficking, cybercrime and extortion during high-level security talks in New Delhi.
National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Canadian Prime Minister’s Senior Diplomatic and International Affairs Adviser David Morrison reviewed bilateral security and law-enforcement cooperation, including the implementation of the shared Security Work Plan agreed in February 2026.
The two sides also committed to stronger coordination on the extradition of criminal offenders, faster information-sharing and improved institutional communication. India and Canada further discussed possible structured dialogues on cybersecurity and economic security, as both countries work to strengthen bilateral ties after years of strained relations
