Srinagar, Mar 25: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah officially inaugurated the iconic Tulip Garden in Srinagar, marking the beginning of the spring bloom season in Kashmir.
Spread over 30 hectares, the garden is home to over 1.7 million tulips in more than 60 vibrant varieties, making it one of Asia’s largest tulip gardens. Alongside tulips, the garden also features daffodils, hyacinths, and other spring flowers, enhancing its scenic beauty and attracting thousands of visitors.
Speaking at the event, CM Omar Abdullah emphasized the garden’s role in boosting tourism and providing a visual treat for nature lovers. He highlighted the administration’s efforts to maintain and expand floral diversity, making the garden a key attraction for both domestic and international tourists.
With its breathtaking display of colors against the backdrop of the Zabarwan Range, the Tulip Garden remains a major highlight of Kashmir’s tourism season, drawing visitors from across the globe.
