Historic Ranji Trophy Triumph Puts J&K Cricket on India’s Map: BCCI
Srinagar, March 05: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) congratulated the Jammu & Kashmir team for their historic Ranji Trophy victory, calling it a proud milestone for cricket in the region.
In a post on X, the BCCI wrote:
“The historic triumph of Jammu & Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy will remain a proud milestone for cricket in the region.”
The board added that the players expressed a desire to meet ICC Chairman Jay Shah, acknowledging his role in strengthening cricket in Jammu & Kashmir during his tenure as BCCI Secretary.
“We sincerely thank Mr. Shah for taking the time to meet the team and for sharing his words of encouragement with the players as they celebrate this historic achievement,” the BCCI post read.
