Food Department Progress on Public Services Reviewed by DG FCS&CA in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, October 1: Director General of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) reviewed the department’s progress on various public-facing initiatives during a visit to Kishtwar, with emphasis on strengthening essential commodity distribution and improving services for consumers.

The review meeting focused on the functioning of the department and the implementation of various welfare and public-distribution measures in the district. Officials briefed the Director General on the progress of ongoing initiatives and issues requiring attention.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to assess the availability and distribution of essential commodities, functioning of the public distribution system and measures being undertaken to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive services in a timely manner.

Officials were directed to maintain effective monitoring of supplies and ensure transparency and accountability in the delivery of food and civil-supplies services. The department also emphasised the importance of addressing public grievances and improving coordination at the field level.

The review is part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen the delivery of essential services and ensure effective implementation of government schemes across Kishtwar district.
