Officials say airlines yet to confirm schedules
Flight Operations at Srinagar Airport to Resume as NOTAM Revoked
Srinagar, May 12: In a major relief for air travelers and the tourism industry in the Kashmir Valley, the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) restricting flight operations at Srinagar Airport has been officially withdrawn, allowing for the resumption of scheduled air services.
Airport authorities confirmed on Monday that all operational systems are fully functional and necessary preparations have been completed to handle incoming and outgoing flights smoothly.
The NOTAM, which had suspended flight activities in the wake of ceasefire violations, had disrupted air travel and caused concerns among passengers and airlines alike. With its revocation, normalcy is expected to return soon.
“The NOTAM has been lifted, and the airport is now ready for all scheduled operations. Our teams are on standby to ensure seamless flight handling,” an official from the airport authority said.
However, while the aerodrome is operational, commercial flight services are yet to resume, pending formal confirmation from airline operators. Coordination is currently underway between the airport management and airline companies to finalize schedules.
Passengers have been advised to remain in contact with their respective airlines for real-time updates on flight timings and operations.
