DYSS Ganderbal organises Volleyball, Kabaddi events under Nasha Mukt Abhiyan

Department of Youth Services and Sports Ganderbal on Tuesday organised volleyball and kabaddi competitions for boys and girls under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan across all four zones of Ganderbal district.

The competitions were conducted in the zones of Kangan, Ganderbal, Hariganwan and Tulmullah with enthusiastic participation from students and young athletes.

The initiative aimed at encouraging youth participation in sports and constructive activities while spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

Participants displayed sportsmanship, teamwork and physical fitness during the competitions, reflecting the growing interest of students in sports and healthy lifestyle activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal appreciated the active participation of boys and girls and lauded the efforts of the field staff for successfully conducting the events.

He emphasized that sports play a vital role in promoting discipline, confidence and a healthy lifestyle among youth while helping them stay away from social evils such as substance abuse.

The DYSS officer said such activities are important for motivating young people towards positive engagement and creating awareness about the importance of a drug-free society.

The programme concluded successfully with a strong message promoting fitness, awareness and social responsibility among the youth of the district.
