Deputy CM reviews progress of infrastructure projects at GMC Srinagar

Surinder Choudhary on Tuesday inspected the ongoing construction work for the upgradation of the Surgery, Medicine and Radiology departments at Government Medical College Srinagar and emphasized timely completion of the project with strict adherence to quality standards.

During the inspection, the Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the pace of work and said the upgraded infrastructure would significantly strengthen healthcare facilities and improve patient care services in Srinagar.

He stated that the government is committed to ensuring seamless healthcare delivery and is focusing on developing equitable health infrastructure in both Jammu and Srinagar regions.

“The administration is prioritizing the development of healthcare facilities and ensuring quality and timely completion of projects across all districts,” he said.

Surinder Choudhary added that strengthening medical infrastructure remains a key priority of the government to enhance accessibility and quality healthcare services for the people.

Earlier in the day, the Deputy Chief Minister met several public delegations at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar, where citizens and representatives projected various issues related to development and public welfare.

The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the concerns raised by the delegations and resolved several matters on the spot. He assured the public that all genuine issues would be actively pursued with the concerned departments for their prompt resolution.

Reiterating the government’s commitment towards responsive and people-centric governance, Surinder Choudhary said that efficient service delivery and timely grievance redressal remain among the administration’s top priorities.
