Srinagar, May 14: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo today visited Government Boys Middle School (GBMS), Baghat Shoor in the Lal Bazar area to review the progress of ongoing infrastructure upgradation works.
He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Chief Planning Officer Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Executive Engineer R&B Division Core Arif Rehman Hazari, Tehsildar Eidgah Mohammad Iqbal Zargar, Deputy CEO Anjum Raja, and other concerned officers.
During the inspection, the DC assessed the pace and quality of construction being executed by the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department under the Samagra Shiksha scheme. He inspected various sections of the school building and reviewed ongoing finishing works.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the executing agency to ensure timely completion of the remaining works and maintain quality standards during execution.
He emphasized that improved school infrastructure would help provide a better and more conducive learning environment for students in the area.
Officials informed him about the current status of construction and assured that the remaining works would be completed within the stipulated timeline.
