Reasi, May 14: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) to review applications under Mission YUVA submitted through the Skill and Business Development Unit.
During the meeting, the committee conducted a detailed scrutiny of applications and approved 241 cases for financial assistance and institutional support under the programme.
The Deputy Commissioner directed Jammu and Kashmir Bank authorities to ensure timely processing and disbursement of approved cases so that beneficiaries can quickly establish their enterprises. He also instructed concerned departments to initiate new batches for entrepreneurship and skill development programmes and ensured that training centres remain fully operational.
Later, the DC also chaired a separate meeting to review the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PM-SYM) in the district.
He reviewed registration progress under the scheme and assessed the performance of implementing departments and agencies. The DC informed that workers aged 18 to 40 years in the unorganised sector, including labourers, street vendors, agricultural and construction workers, are eligible for enrolment under the scheme.
He directed officials to intensify outreach efforts and ensure maximum coverage of eligible beneficiaries while stressing the need for widespread awareness about the pension benefits available under PM-SYM.
Emphasising coordination among all stakeholders, the DC instructed departments to regularly monitor progress and achieve targets within the stipulated timeline.
Senior officers including ADDC Krishan Lal, ALC Sanjay Bhat, CMO, CEO and other officials attended the meetings.
