Ramban, May 08: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today visited District Hospital Ramban and reviewed the functioning of the healthcare institution with special focus on patient care, medical facilities and operational status of the Addiction Treatment Facility.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, Chief Medical Officer Kamal Jee Zadoo and Medical Superintendent Sudarshan Katoch.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various wards and diagnostic sections of the hospital and reviewed the healthcare services being provided to patients. He also interacted with patients and their attendants to obtain first-hand feedback regarding treatment facilities, availability of medicines and overall functioning of the hospital.
Mohammad Alyas Khan directed the Medical Superintendent to ensure round-the-clock availability of doctors and paramedical staff besides maintaining proper sanitation and patient care standards within the hospital premises.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Addiction Treatment Facility and reviewed the status of OPD services being provided at the centre. He also assessed preparedness for operationalisation of the IPD facility under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan.
The inspection formed part of the district administration’s efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve de-addiction services in the district.
