DC Kulgam inspects JNV Mirhama project, stresses timely completion, improved connectivity, and safety measures for workers at construction site

Kulgam, May 5: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam on Tuesday visited Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Mirhama to review the progress of ongoing construction works at the site.

During the inspection, the DC took stock of the physical status of the project, which has an estimated cost of ₹40.47 crore. Officials briefed him on the current stage of development and the works completed so far.

The Deputy Commissioner issued directions to the concerned departments to ensure the timely completion of the project. He instructed officials to prepare estimates for PHE and PDD connections and emphasized the need for a comprehensive Detailed Project Report (DPR) for additional development works within the campus.

Highlighting the importance of infrastructure resilience, the DC stressed the need for adequate flood protection measures to safeguard the institution from potential risks.

He also directed authorities to ensure proper road connectivity to the campus and expedite allied development works. Emphasis was laid on maintaining safety and security standards for labourers engaged at the construction site.

The visit aimed to accelerate progress and ensure that the institution is completed within the stipulated timeframe while meeting all necessary infrastructure and safety requirements.
