DC Kishtwar Chairs Introductory Meeting of DVOs with SSP ACB DKR, Stresses Vigilance

DC emphasizes transparency, accountability and strong anti-corruption coordination

Kishtwar, May 14: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired an introductory meeting of nominated District Vigilance Officers (DVOs) and Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) with the newly posted SSP Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Doda-Kishtwar Range, Vipan Chandran at the DC Office Complex.

The meeting aimed to strengthen coordination, accessibility, and cooperation between the district administration and the Anti-Corruption Bureau for improved governance and grievance redressal.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that integrity, transparency, and accountability are the three core pillars of good governance. He urged officers to actively report field-level issues and administrative concerns to ensure timely resolution.

He stressed the importance of preventive vigilance through awareness and prompt reporting of irregularities, procedural violations, and governance lapses. He directed all officers to strictly adhere to General Financial Rules (GFRs) and maintain transparency in official functioning.

The DC further stated that any misuse of official position, deviation from rules, or suspicious activity should be immediately reported to the ACB, and strict action must be ensured in proven cases to deter corruption.

The SSP ACB assured full cooperation from the Anti-Corruption Bureau in strengthening vigilance mechanisms and addressing complaints effectively across the district.

The Deputy Commissioner called upon all District Vigilance Officers to maintain close coordination with the ACB and work collectively to strengthen accountability and public trust in governance.

Senior district officers including ADDC Vinod Kumar Behnal, ADC Pawan Kotwal, and other administrative and sectoral heads attended the meeting.
