Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat visited Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag to meet victims injured in a fire incident at a seminary in the main town during the intervening night of May 11–12.
Accompanied by senior officials, the DC enquired about the health condition of the injured and reviewed the medical care being provided. He directed hospital authorities to ensure the best possible treatment and continuous medical attention for speedy recovery of patients.
He expressed sympathy with the affected families, assured full support from the district administration, and prayed for peace to the soul of the deceased and recovery of the injured.
The DC also inspected various sections of the hospital, reviewed healthcare facilities, availability of medicines, and interacted with patients and attendants to take feedback on services.
He emphasized that ensuring quality, patient-friendly healthcare remains a top priority and instructed GMC authorities to maintain high standards of care without any inconvenience to patients.
