DC Anantnag Reviews Digitisation Work, Calls for Time-Bound Completion of Backlog Mutations

89% backlog mutations approved in Anantnag district, DC stresses quality, transparency and fast digitisation of revenue records.

ANANTNAG, MAY 17: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat on Saturday inspected the Digitisation Section at Dak Bungalow Khanabal and reviewed the progress of digitisation of revenue records.

He was accompanied by ADC, ACR, Tehsildar Anantnag and other concerned officials.

During the visit, the DC took a detailed assessment of the digitisation work and interacted with Patwaris and staff regarding the pace and quality of the ongoing process. He also checked Jamabandi records and the functioning of the Mutation Module on the PM Gati Shakti Portal, including the flow of online data through maker, verifier/checker, and approver login systems.

Dr. Bilal directed officials to complete and approve the remaining backlog mutations within the next 4–5 days, stressing the need for speed, accuracy, and transparency in the digitisation process to ensure reliable land records and improved public service delivery.

He also appreciated the efforts of the digitisation staff and instructed that proper internet connectivity, logistics, and necessary facilities be ensured for smooth and uninterrupted work.

Officials informed the DC that out of total backlog mutations, 91% have been initiated, 90% verified, and 89% approved in the district till May 16.

Concluding the inspection, the DC reiterated that digitisation of revenue records is a key reform and urged all staff to coordinate effectively to achieve the set targets.
