Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reviewed the developmental progress of Shopian district and dedicated projects worth over ₹76 crore during his visit, reaffirming the government’s commitment to balanced and equitable development across Jammu and Kashmir.
Chairing a comprehensive district review meeting, the Chief Minister assessed the implementation of key government schemes, infrastructure projects and public service delivery. He directed officials to expedite ongoing works and ensure timely completion of all developmental initiatives.
During the visit, Omar Abdullah inaugurated and laid the foundation of 13 major projects covering roads, bridges, drinking water supply, rural infrastructure, urban development and horticulture.
Interacting with farmers, fruit growers and representatives of the Fruit Mandi Association at Aglar, the Chief Minister assured priority action on issues related to controlled atmosphere storage, marketing infrastructure, crop insurance, hailstorm protection and the sale of spurious pesticides.
He also met public delegations, listened to their grievances and assured them that genuine concerns would be addressed on priority while reiterating the government’s focus on inclusive and people-centric development. (Agencies)
