Jammu : The Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, on Wednesday approved a series of key administrative and development decisions, including a 2% Dearness Allowance (DA) hike for employees, promotion of JKAS officers, and major infrastructure and health sector reforms.
The Cabinet also cleared the construction of three new grid stations, along with several sewerage and waste management projects aimed at strengthening civic infrastructure across the Union Territory. In addition, it approved the re-designation of Medical Superintendents, Deputy Medical Superintendents, and Assistant Medical Superintendents in Government Medical Colleges.
In a significant administrative decision, the Cabinet sanctioned the creation of a supernumerary post of District Judge. It also approved the establishment of nine posts of District Ayush Officers in the Health and Medical Education Department, facilitated by the rationalisation of 11 existing Medical Officer posts.
All the decisions taken by the Cabinet will now be forwarded to the Lieutenant Governor for final approval. (Agency)
