Bank Holidays in July 2026: Banks to Remain Closed for 12 Days Across India

RBI holiday calendar includes regional festivals, Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays; digital banking services to remain available

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the bank holiday calendar for July 2026, with banks across the country set to remain closed for a total of 12 days due to regional festivals, commemorative occasions and regular weekend holidays.

Customers are advised to plan their branch visits in advance, as holiday schedules vary from state to state. However, online banking, mobile banking, UPI services, ATMs, and debit and credit card transactions will continue to function normally during the holidays.

State-wise Bank Holidays

  • July 6: Banks in Mizoram will remain closed for MHIP Day.
  • July 9: Banks in Meghalaya will remain closed on account of Beh Deinkhlam.
  • July 16: Banks in Odisha, Uttarakhand and Manipur will be closed for Ratha Yatra, Kang Rathajatra and Harela.
  • July 17: Banks in Meghalaya will remain closed to observe the death anniversary of U Tirot Singh.
  • July 18: Banks in Sikkim will remain closed for Drukpa Tshe-zi.
  • July 22: Banks in Tripura will remain closed for Kharchi Puja.

Weekend Bank Holidays

Banks across India will also remain closed on the following weekend holidays:

  • Sundays: July 5, 12, 19 and 26
  • Second Saturday: July 11
  • Fourth Saturday: July 25

While physical bank branches will remain closed on these dates, customers can continue using digital banking services without interruption for routine financial transactions.
