Bandipora Intensifies Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan Across Schools and Panchayats

Awareness drives competitions and pledges promote drug free society

District Administration Bandipora continued extensive activities under the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, organizing awareness programmes, essay competitions, pledge ceremonies, Gram Sabhas, and IEC campaigns across schools and panchayats.

Educational institutions including HS Panar, HSS Shadipora, HSS Nowgam, HSS Quilmuqam and others hosted awareness drives and pamphlet distribution to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

Essay writing competitions, pledge-taking activities, sports events, and awareness programmes were held across multiple schools including Garoora, Gadakhud, Gurez and Sumbal, encouraging active youth participation.

Special Gram Sabhas in various panchayat halqas also focused on raising awareness about substance abuse at the grassroots level, with strong participation from local representatives and communities.

Excise Department North Kashmir, AYUSH Department Bandipora, and health officials also conducted awareness sessions, rallies, and sensitization programmes, reinforcing the message of a drug-free society.

The initiatives witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, officials, and the public, reflecting a strong collective commitment towards the success of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the district.
