Bandipora authorities have attached properties worth over Rs 2.11 crore under the “Proceeds of Terrorism” provisions, officials said on Wednesday.

More than Rs 2.11 crore worth of properties were attached on Wednesday in Bandipora district, Jammu and Kashmir, after being identified as “proceeds of terrorism,” police said. The attached land parcels measure a total of two kanals and 12 marlas, a police spokesperson added.

At Watapora, land measuring one kanal and nine marlas belonging to Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat was attached under various sections of law.

In another case, land measuring one kanal and half a marla in village Chandaji, owned by Jameel Ahmad Khan, was also attached. Additionally, two marlas of land in village Aloosa belonging to Manzoor Ahmad Dar were seized.

The properties were identified as “proceeds of terrorism” due to their alleged links to facilitating and promoting terrorist activities in the district, the spokesperson said. (Agencies)
