AoI Gangyal Urges Authorities to Repair Neglected Industrial Roads
The Association of Industries (AoI), Gangyal, has raised serious concerns over the worsening condition of link roads leading to the Gangyal Industrial Area, accusing the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department of ignoring their repeated pleas for urgent repairs over the past three months.
Key access routes, including Trikuta Nagar Canal to Industrial Area Gangyal, Preet Nagar, SSB to Industrial Area Gangyal, and Model Town to Industrial Area Gangyal, are in a state of severe disrepair. The deteriorating roads pose a major risk to commuters and industrial transport, creating serious safety hazards.
“We have repeatedly requested the Chief Engineer, R&B Department, to address the issue, but our appeals have gone unheard,” said Virendra Jain, President of AoI Gangyal.
The association has now urged Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and Commissioner/Secretary of the Public Works Department (PWD) to intervene and ensure immediate repairs.
AoI Gangyal has warned that if the issue is not resolved promptly, it could lead to accidents and fatalities, disrupting industrial activities and negatively impacting the region’s economy.
