As part of the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, the District Information Centre Ramban in collaboration with the Drug Control Department organized an awareness programme on drug abuse at DISHA Institute of Paramedical & Nursing Sciences.
The programme aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of drug addiction and promote the vision of a drug-free society. Drug Control Officer Imtiyaz Ahmed attended as Chief Guest, while Dental Surgeon Dr. Bhushan was the Guest of Honour.
Students actively participated through speeches, poster exhibitions, cultural performances, and a skit highlighting the social, physical, and psychological impact of drug abuse.
Speakers emphasized awareness, prevention, and collective responsibility in combating the drug menace. The institute also marked International Nurses Day 2026 with activities themed “Our Nurses, Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.”
The programme concluded with a pledge by students and faculty to work towards a healthy and drug-free society
