During the meeting, the SSP stressed the need for close coordination among all agencies and directed officials to strengthen access control, CCTV surveillance, baggage screening, anti-sabotage checks, intelligence sharing, and deployment of security personnel at the railway station and nearby areas.

He also reviewed emergency response plans, passenger facilitation measures, traffic management, and security at entry and exit points. Officials were instructed to conduct regular joint drills to improve coordination and ensure quick response in case of any emergency.

After the meeting, SSP Nagpure inspected the security arrangements at Harnag Railway Station, including CCTV control rooms, baggage screening areas, and passenger facilities. He also interacted with security personnel and issued further directions to enhance the overall security setup.

Officials said the railway security review is part of the larger multi-layered security plan for the 57-day Amarnath Yatra, which includes drone surveillance, sniper deployment, intelligence-based policing, and close coordination between the J&K Police, CAPF, and the Army to ensure a safe and peaceful pilgrimage.
