Srinagar, June 14: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Friday presided over a high-level meeting to assess the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir following recent terror attacks.
The meeting was attended by senior security officials who provided a comprehensive briefing on the intensified counter-insurgency measures initiated in response to the spate of attacks in the Jammu region.
Sources said that the Union Home Minister is scheduled to convene another in-depth security review meeting on June 16.
This forthcoming meeting would witness the participation of the National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Army, and various security agencies.
The high-level engagement underscores the government’s commitment to bolstering security and addressing the ongoing threats posed by terror activities in the region.
