The Lok Sabha on Tuesday witnessed the smooth conduct of Question Hour for the first time since the Monsoon Session began on July 21.

The House had been facing continuous disruptions over the Opposition’s demand for a debate on the electoral roll revision in Bihar and Operation Sindoor.

Although the debate on Operation Sindoor began on Monday, the Opposition disrupted proceedings during the first half of the day, seeking an assurance from the government that a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar would follow.

Tuesday marked the first day in six sessions that the House managed to hold Question Hour without any interruptions.

Speaker Om Birla has repeatedly urged members to take part in Question Hour, emphasizing that it allows key issues related to major ministries to be addressed and ensures government accountability.
