Kishtwar, May 18: A plantation drive and Nasha Mukt Abhiyan were organized at Government School Galhar by Youth Club Galhar under the JKCIP Agriculture Development Programme, Kishtwar.
The programme was attended by BDO Nagseni Subash Chander as chief guest, along with former Sarpanch Darshan Sharma and Panchayat Member Dorka Nath. The guests appreciated the efforts of the organizers and encouraged participants to work for environmental protection and a drug-free society.
The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and educate the younger generation about the harmful effects of drug abuse. Students, volunteers and local residents actively participated by planting saplings and taking a pledge to contribute towards a greener environment and a healthy society free from substance abuse.
Speakers highlighted the importance of environmental conservation, sustainability and adopting a healthy lifestyle. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community and concluded with a collective call to continue efforts for building a greener and healthier nation.
